In the first class on Tuesday afternoon, 20th November, 2018, teacher Jiang Ling from Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the east campus showcased an English public class in Class 1, Grade 7. In attendance were Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang and all the English teachers with the Junior High Section. After the lesson, all the teachers from the English teaching and research group reviewed the lesson and provided some guidance.
To be specific, this lesson centered on Unit 5 Let’s celebrate! (Welcome to the unit) from the first volume of Grade Seven’s Oxford textbooks. Teacher Jiang Ling made adequate preparations beforehand, be it the design of teaching links or the production of the courseware, which was amazing indeed. What’s more, the classroom activities followed the principle from easy to difficult, which was interlinked and goal-oriented. Thus, the teaching effect was brilliant and the knowledge representation in classroom was integrated and pragmatic as well.
Afterwards, teachers within the English teaching and research group proceeded group discussions. Each teacher’s frank and meticulous lesson evaluation not only displayed their level of attending lessons, but also demonstrated the harmonious atmosphere of mutual help and solidarity among the teachers, which truly achieved the goal of ‘Saying All You Know And Saying It Without Reserve’.
